Hide Entire Sheet or Workbook

Each worksheet is denoted by a tab at the bottom and is given a name in your regular Excel workbook, which is the file you are now working in. You can choose to hide a sheet instead of deleting it so that its data is still accessible to formulas on other pages in the workbook and can be used for reference. Select Hide from the context menu by right-clicking the bottom sheet tab. You must select the sheet name from the list that appears when you need to find it again by clicking Unhide on the View tab at the top of the screen.

On the View tab menu at the top, there is a Hide button as well. What happens if you click that? It conceals the full workbook you are now using. Excel appears to be operating even if the file appears to have been closed. If you want to save changes to the hidden workbook, you must confirm when you close the programme. When you attempt to open the file, Excel presents you with what initially looks to be a blank workbook—until you select Unhide once more.
